Promoter of the English National Road Relays
WHO ARE WE ?
The ERRA has now been in existence for more than 11 years. It evolved from the AAA of England Road Running Management Committee with the objective of having a similar organisation to represent road running at England level as ECCA does for cross country.
The ERRA is now described as a” Special Association” under the AAA’s and is affiliated to England Athletics and will continue to flourish under the new arrangement for athletics in England. Many joint ventures are planned with England Athletics so that the position will be of benefit to Road Running in the future.
The ERRA organises the English National Road Running Championships, specifically the Road Relays. National Relays are English Championships, but specially invited teams from the other UK countries may also enter.

Appeal for help for marshals to assist at the national road relays
We normally ask the Local Clubs to help with the marshaling at the National Road Relays, this could be one club or maybe two/three clubs working together. If there are local clubs or even Endurance officials working towards their qualification who feel they are able to assist In the Marshalling of this National event please register your interest with the Championship secretary.
If any club(s), or Individuals can assist in Marshaling please email the
Championship Secretary Ken Smith
Duties would include helping in the setting up of the course, this would involve staking & taping at turns and intersections on the course. Marshaling these sections while the races take place then dismantling those sections of course at the end of the event.
All equipment will be supplied by the event organisers.
The 2021 National 12 & 6 Road Relays
These will not take place this year, having already been postponed from the usual April date, it was felt we could not find a suitable date later in this years calendar which would not put pressure on clubs to provide Athletes for the National Relays alongside the many other competitions already planned for the summer.
The 2022 12 & 6 will hopefully take place on their normal April date next year.
